Privacy Policy

1. Scope and responsibility

This policy applies to ReImage Git at git.reimage.cc. ReImage is responsible for personal information under its control. The ReImage Privacy Contact can be reached at info@reimage.cc.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: username, email address, display name, password verifier, preferences, SSH and signing public keys, and authentication settings.
• Content and activity: repositories, commits, issues, pull requests, comments, releases, packages, Actions logs and artifacts, and moderation reports.
• Technical information: IP address, browser and device details, request and security logs, session identifiers, timestamps, and diagnostic information.
• Communications: messages and supporting information sent to support, privacy, security, or abuse contacts.

3. Why we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts; provide Git hosting, collaboration, packages, and Actions; send service and verification emails; prevent abuse and fraud; diagnose incidents; enforce policies; comply with legal obligations; and understand aggregate service reliability and capacity.

4. Public information

Public profiles, repositories, commits, issues, pull requests, comments, packages, and related metadata are available to anyone. Git commits may contain names and email addresses supplied by their authors. Public information may be indexed, copied, forked, mirrored, or archived by others beyond ReImage’s control.

Use private repositories and email-privacy settings where appropriate, and avoid publishing secrets or personal information in repository history.

5. Cookies and sessions

ReImage Git uses cookies and similar local storage required for authentication, security, preferences, and core service operation. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Disabling required cookies may prevent account features from working.

6. Disclosure and service providers

We disclose information only when needed to operate the service, with infrastructure and email providers acting on our behalf; when you make information public or direct us to share it; to investigate security or abuse; in connection with a lawful organizational transaction; or when required by applicable law.

We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party behavioural advertising.

7. Retention and deletion

We retain information while an account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security and audit records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law. Retention varies by record type. Deleted content may remain temporarily in backups and may persist in forks, clones, caches, logs, or archives outside our control.

You may request account deletion or removal of eligible personal information by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

8. Security and location

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the service, including access controls, encrypted transport, isolated public CI execution, and operational monitoring. No system is completely secure, so users must also protect credentials and secrets.

Information may be processed where ReImage or its service providers operate. When required, we evaluate protections before communicating personal information outside Quebec.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction of personal information, withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, ask questions about our practices, or submit a privacy complaint. 10. Changes

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. Material updates will be posted here with a new effective date.
